No. $4.50 is the total monthly price per Premium gateway mailbox. It includes Standard protection plus the additional Premium review allowance.
A protected mailbox counts once. Aliases that deliver into that same mailbox are free. A shared mailbox with its own separate delivery counts as a mailbox. Discovering a new address alone does not create a charge; mailbox mapping is reviewed first.
Gateway Premium and Microsoft 365 AI Protection each include up to 2,000 reviews per paid mailbox each month, pooled within that organization. Included monthly allowances reset each billing month and do not roll over. Additional packs add 1,000 reviews for $2 for the current billing month; unused reviews do not roll over. Packs are optional purchases, never automatic overage charges. Allowances do not pool across separate client organizations.
You’ll see usage and alerts at 70%, 90% and 100%. Large or complex messages can reach processing limits before the email allowance is used up. Gateway messages requiring Premium review wait in the queue or quarantine until capacity is restored; they aren’t silently delivered without it. In Microsoft 365 mode, mail has already arrived: incomplete coverage is shown to your administrator until scanning can resume.
No repeat customer review charge for a retry, duplicate notification or release action on the same original email-recipient delivery. An email delivered to two protected mailboxes counts as two deliveries.
MSPs may qualify for lower rates through bulk licensing, with no separate MSP platform fee. Manage clients directly, with separate organizations and review pools. Plans are monthly, starting with one protected mailbox; annual plans are not currently offered. The calculator shows public rates.
